The Outdoors Season is Here

Let’s have a look at our favourite collections here at Sarah Nicollier Interiors for the Summer of 2023.

Having worked in London for 8 years and many more in Geneva, outdoor furniture wasn’t always popular or a priority whilst doing projects for my clients.

However, living 10 months of the year outdoors in the Algarve, outdoor furniture has become one of our top priorities and more popular demand. And as a result I’ve become very passionate about creating comfortable and liveable outdoor spaces!

Really good outdoor furniture can be expensive as the materials need to be extremely solid, but comfortable, of course. We only do tend to work with high end brands when it comes to our outdoor designs. If you want it to last and look good, you’ve got to invest.

It’s quite amusing seeing clients coming from the UK or Sweden having to get used to the idea of living outdoors and not bringing cushions in at night. It’s a whole different lifestyle. Heavenly, one might say!

We have discovered stunning collections recently for this Summer, so let’s have a look what’s IN !

WOOD

Wood is always in, whist basic boring rattan is a bit out. This lovely lounge set needs minimal maintenance but still looks classy and welcoming.

CHANDELIERS

We love to add stylish chandeliers if the space allows it, bringing whole space together from top to bottom. This season grants for some some beautiful designs…

RATTAN

This not so boring rattan set (for those who like it), is perfect for a protected or covered outdoors area. It gives it this indoor-hotel-chill-lounge-like feeling. We would definitely add one of our exquisite outdoor rugs to this to bring it all together!

chill out

We are a big big fans of real sofas for the outdoors, made from 100% fabric. It might scare some you off but it definitely works and the quality of these high end brands DO NOT disappoint. I mean who wouldn’t want to chill here… I know I would.

For ultimate comfort with a limitless budget these lounge chairs are phenomenal. We’ve personally tested them and didn’t want to get up… Plus it gives the space a really classy vibe.

It’s not just about furniture, it’s also about the decor added to the space. And we are fortunate enough to be able to leave everything outside for the majority of the year!

LIGHTING

Outdoor lighting is such a vibe and adds to the cozy atmosphere, plus we have these new rechargeable Bluetooth outdoor lamps to the trick. They run for up to 12 hours and also work as speakers for your favourite tunes. The BEST part is that they also work as a cooler, for a bottle of wine… It can’t get more fun than that. We have those in many variations at our showroom.

We also love these stylish outdoor lamps that do require any electrical plug. The woven material is stunning and this set is pure elegance.

FABRICS

Outdoor fabrics used to be so dull and boring, but now there are amazing, fun, and welcoming fabrics, that we even use indoors! We love blues to add a little pop of colour to your outdoor spaces.
