A Different Kind of Photoshoot
It’s London Fashion Week and one of the most exciting weeks in the London calendar. Photographers have taken over the city and everyone is planning which shows to attend and endless events are organised during the week.
So I thought a Fashion blog with a bit of a twist could be cute !
I met the artist Alèn Clo this Spring at a fashion event and found her work remarkable- extremely feminine too. She has a diverse creative spectrum with a background in fashion styling and photoshoot art direction.
One day I got tagged in one of her posts on Instagram, and to my surprise, I saw that her latest sketch was inspired by one of my photos. I was so impressed that I got in touch with her to tell her how much I loved it!
We met up for dinner and decided that it would be so much fun to do a collaboration together: sketching me in four different outfits that I chose for the colder weather.
I am a true Summer girl at heart, but the biggest thrill I get from Autumn is the fashion- I love the fabrics, necklines, and coziness.
LOOK 1: zimmermann
What is my wardrobe without Zimmermann, let’s face it! As we all know, I’m in love with that brand, so obviously I couldn’t resist to be sketched in this beautiful dress below. It’s dramatic, it’s chic and it’s a statement. I love every detail of it and the colour is quite nice with my new darker hair. The belt is also an amazing accessory for other dresses and coats.
LOOK 2: temperley London
My second illustration is a stunning Temperley London dress that I wore during my Styling Session at The Shop at Bluebird. It’s chic and you can dress it up or down. I’d wear it also with my chunky vintage suede boots and a jeans jacket.
LOOK 3: Massimo Dutti
I love a look that gets me through a day of work by looking casual yet chic, and I’m always finding this at Massimo Dutti. This is a brand I wear a lot and where I always find great sweaters or that perfect fitting trouser for an affordable price.
LOOK 4: Needle & Thread
This is my NYE outfit for sure ! But let’s be honest, I’d even though I’d wear this any time on a chic night out in London… That’s what I love about this city- you can dress up and anywhere you go you are never overdressed. I’m in love with Needle & Thread and still wear a dress I bought from them many years ago.

Alén is available to work under commission for brands creating artwork for advertising campaigns, window displays, in-store graphics, live events, backdrops, editorial and social media.
I find it also a cute gift idea for a friend, and how cool would it be to have her sketch your guests at a dinner party??
